The Bunnell project includes a 10,330-acre forestland owned and managed by The Nature Conservancy and located in northern New Hampshire and the contract was awarded to Blanco Lumberjack Company, Inc . The project type is Improved Forest Management. As a result of two conservation easements placed on the property, there will be no commercial timber harvest.
The harvesting of the older growth forest product was awarded to Blanco Lumberjack Company, Inc by the united state forestry department on 552 acres of lowland spruce-hemlock forest in Maine. Conserved by the Northeast Wilderness Trust, Howland is an older growth forest that has experienced limited harvest for 140 years. A field site for NASA's Forest Ecosystem Dynamics project and a participant in the Ameriflux program -- one of the longest records of carbon flux measurements in the world. Projected offset issuance of 40,500 offset credits through 2015.
